So… who is actually behind Prerna | Travel | Outdoor Adventures? 👀

If you’ve been following for a while, you probably noticed that I don’t really show my face here.

And honestly? I like keeping the focus on the places, the experiences and the travel ideas. ✈️

I created Prerna | Travel | Outdoor Adventures for people who LOVE travelling but have:

💼 a 9–5
💰 a travel budget
⏰ limited vacation days
🚗 and a constant urge to get away for the weekend.

If you’re in Toronto/GTA and craving a weekend away but don’t want to spend $$$, save this one. 👇

Turquoise water, Bruce Peninsula hikes, Flowerpot Island & that “wait… this is Ontario?!” feeling.

✨ One of Nova Scotia’s most iconic views — Peggy’s Cove 🌊🪨

Just 45 minutes from Halifax, this charming fishing village is famous for its lighthouse, dramatic granite rocks, and endless Atlantic Ocean views. Every angle here feels like a postcard! 📸

⚠️ Save these tips before you visit:
• Never walk on the dark, wet rocks — rogue waves can appear without warning.
• Visit early morning or around sunset for fewer crowds and the best light.
• Wear comfortable shoes—the granite can be uneven and slippery.

🚗 Driving from Halifax? Make a day trip by stopping at Indian Harbour, Queensland Beach, and the colourful village of Mahone Bay (or continue on to Lunenburg if you have extra time!).

✨ 2 Perfect Days in Halifax Before Driving the Iconic Cabot Trail 🇨🇦🌊

If you’re planning a Nova Scotia road trip, don’t rush straight to Cape Breton. Spend at least 2 days exploring Halifax first—you won’t regret it!

📍DAY 1
✈️ Land at Halifax Stanfield Airport
🚗 Pick up your rental car
🍽️ Head straight to BG (The Bicycle Thief’s sister restaurant) for one of the best fish & chips in Downtown Halifax.
☕ Grab a coffee from Two If By Sea Café (worth the short trip) or Cabin Coffee if you’re staying downtown.
🍦 End the day with the iconic COWS Ice Cream—a Nova Scotia classic!

📍DAY 2
🥞 Start your morning with breakfast at Elle’s Bistro or Easy Street Diner.
🚶 Wander through the colourful streets of Downtown Halifax.
⚓ Explore the beautiful Halifax Waterfront Boardwalk.
🛍️ Pick up local souvenirs before heading out.
🌅 Drive to the breathtaking Peggy’s Cove for one of Canada’s most iconic coastal views.
🍝 Finish your day with dinner at The Bicycle Thief—make a reservation because it’s popular for a reason!

💙 If you have an extra day, don’t skip Lunenburg! This colourful UNESCO town was high on my list, but I’ll definitely be back for it.
