Kontrol Media Studios is Moving Forward – A New Chapter Begins

After careful consideration, we’ve made the decision to close our May Street Studio in April. Over the past few years, we’ve seen a shift in demand—more clients are seeking on-location shoots, videography, branding, and design work rather than traditional studio sessions. While we’ve loved having a dedicated space, the numbers simply don’t justify keeping the studio open.

Like many businesses, we faced challenges during the pandemic. Restrictions prevented us from using the studio, and as a new business at the time, we weren’t eligible for funding to cover expenses. Despite the hurdles, we adapted, expanded our services, and found new ways to create for our clients.

This isn’t the end—Kontrol Media Studios is growing in new directions. Our focus continues to be on high-quality photography, videography, branding, and creative services that meet the needs of our clients where they are.

We are still taking bookings for studio shoots in April! If you’ve been considering a session, now’s the time.

Who's ready for some in-studio shoots? We certainly are!

She's a modelling newbie, but you'd never know it.

Meet Tara—this was her first time stepping in front of the camera for a studio shoot, and of course our first time working together.

Nervous or not, her natural poise and ease brought so much depth to the shoot.

We went for a cinematic vibe with a 3-light setup, inspired by classic film lighting. Shot on Sony A7III with the Sigma 24-70 at f2.8, this was a creative little project I'm proud to share.
