It's "plane" and simple - we had a great time today at Wings of Time! ✈️ 🎵 We extend our appreciation to everyone who joined us in traveling back to the 1950s by listening to the Roy Coran Big Band as the Harvards soared through the skies. It was an absolute pleasure!

Furthermore, we would like to see our leaders working closely with the United Nations, internationally recognized humanitarian organizations on peacekeeping and peace building missions throughout the globe, and continue to contribute to the creation of a just and equitable world.

Today, on National Indigenous Peoples Day, and every day, Diversity Thunder Bay celebrates all Indigenous people -the First Nations, the Inuit and the Metis.

However, we recognize that far more must be done to address the ongoing impacts of colonialism and current (neo)colonial relations, and structural violence, including systemic racism. We are committed to taking concrete actions wherever possible to advance reconciliation with all Indigenous Peoples and to support Indigenous self-determination and sovereignty.

We also recognize that current treaty relationships are complex, and we support achieving a better understanding of rights flowing from treaties that will promote nation-to-nation relationships grounded in equity and justice.

We will strive for respectful relationships as we search for collective healing, truth, reconciliation and, together, honour the ancestors, Elders, knowledge keepers, the land and water, and all beings to build a common future.
