With Woodstock’s population projected to nearly double by 2050, the City has kicked off a Transit Route Study aimed at shaping the long-term future of local public transit.

The study will help guide future planning and investment decisions. City staff say the work will look at options to:

🚍 Improve route frequency
🏘️ Expand service into new and rapidly growing neighbourhoods
🔄 Strengthen connections across the current transit network

The Ontario Provincial Police are reminding motorists of their legal responsibility to slow down and move over when approaching any emergency vehicle stopped on the roadside with flashing lights.

The message comes from Sergeant Ed Sanchuk of the OPP’s West Region, who stressed that the rule isn’t just a courtesy — it’s the law. Drivers who fail to comply face a $490 fine and demerit points.
