Northern INK Workshop’s Inaugural Yearly Recruitment Drive
Northern INK helped write and publish a book that became a bestseller in three Amazon categories in 2026. That was the beginning, not the whole point.
Now the Northern INK Workshop is looking for more Canadian writers, poets, storytellers, visual artists, beginners, established authors, and people trying to make something real.
To join, follow the link at the bottom of this post or search Northern INK Workshop on Facebook.
This is not one of those massive writer groups where ten thousand people post into the void and a poem gets one lonely like from someone’s aunt. We are smaller than that on purpose. Most days, there are drafts, fragments, prompts, first attempts, rough little poems, encouragement, actual conversations, and critique when someone asks for it.
The 2027 anthology is already in motion, and members are helping shape it by writing toward possible themes instead of just voting on them. But the workshop is not only about our anthology. People here are also working on their own books, poems, stories, projects, and half-formed things that need somewhere to start. The editor offers free consultations, and there is plenty of free advice in the group. Just ask.
We especially want creatives from small towns across Canada. Northern voices. Rural voices. Working-class voices. Quiet voices. Weird voices. People who have been writing on their own and want to be around others who are also doing the work.
At the end of recruitment season, we will tighten the group around people who are actually taking part. That does not mean posting every day. It means writing, reading, commenting, asking, sharing, collaborating, encouraging, or showing up in some meaningful way.
Northern INK is still small. That is part of why it works.
We get things done. We have fun. We help each other make the work better.
Come write with us.
