What a weekend. 🇨🇦🇺🇸. If you had told us going into this trip how the weekend was going to unfold, we probably wouldn’t have believed you. It certainly wasn’t all smooth sailing — there were some lows, some frustrating moments and a few times when things just didn’t seem to want to go our way.
But along with those lows came some pretty incredible highs… including something we never expected — bringing home our first win on U.S. soil. 🏆
As exciting as that was, one of the biggest things we’ll take home from this weekend had nothing to do with a trophy.
We can’t say enough about the people we met and the camaraderie we experienced among the 3.0 pullers.
At Hancock, when we had to rehook, there was no hesitation — leaf blowers started coming our way from the In The Red Team to help us get cooled! When a hood bolt stripped, tools were offered and people were there to help. It was one of those weekends where, every time something went sideways, someone seemed to step up.
A huge thank you to Attitude Diesel for being behind us and having us down in your kneck of the woods . We’re incredibly grateful to have you in our corner.
And to all of the 3.0 pullers who welcomed a couple of Canadians into your pits, lent us tools and equipment, offered a hand, shared some laughs and simply treated us like we belonged there — thank you.
Competition is competition once you hook to the sled, but what happens in the pits says a whole lot more about the people involved in this sport.
We also want to say a sincere thank you to OSTPA for welcoming us with open arms, and to each of the events we attended for making us feel so welcome. Coming across the border to pull somewhere new, you never quite know what to expect. From the officials and event organizers to the competitors and people we met along the way, we truly appreciated the hospitality shown to us.
We headed south hoping to make some hooks, have some fun and experience something a little different.
We came home with our first U.S. win, some great memories, and a whole new appreciation for a group of people who made us feel welcome from the minute we got there. 🇨🇦❤️🇺🇸
There were lows. There were highs. And there were moments we’ll be talking about for a very long time.
Ohio, you gave us one heck of a weekend. 🏁
