The Tofino Long Beach Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1929 as the Tofino Board of Trade and incorporated under the federal Boards of Trade Act. The organization’s name was changed to the Tofino Chamber of Commerce in 1949 and ultimately renamed to the Tofino-Long Beach Chamber of Commerce in later years. The Chamber remains Tofino's longest-running and largest business organization. With well over 300 members, it represents the majority of local and area businesses

📣 Advocacy in Action: Connecting & Collaborating at the BC Chamber Conferences

Early June, Executive Director Samantha Hackett represented the Tofino Chamber of Commerce at two key events in Nanaimo: the Chamber of Commerce Executives of BC (CCEBC) Conference & AGM and the 73rd BC Chamber of Commerce (BCCC) AGM & Conference.

We were proud to represent Tofino in policy discussions, share ideas with fellow Chambers, and bringing a strong coastal voice and perspective to conversations about workforce, housing, healthcare, sustainability, and small business support—issues that matter deeply to our community.

From policy debate to capacity-building, these conferences were all about strengthening our advocacy efforts and building lasting connections. We’re proud to be part of a provincial network working Stronger Together to shape the future of business in B.C.

Collaboration makes us stronger—and we’re bringing back fresh insights to better support our local business community.

🚨 SCAM ALERT: “Susan’s Boutique Tofino” Website 🚨 It’s come to our attention that there is a website susansboutique-tofino.com. Please know it is fraudulent and not affiliated with any local Tofino business.

⚠️ The site falsely claims to be a long-standing local shop “closing out after 5 years,” but was actually created just 16 days ago and is registered in Ottawa — not Tofino.

📣 If you have made a purchase through this website, we urge you to contact your credit card provider immediately to report the scam and secure a refund if possible.

✅ You can verify suspicious websites using tools like urlvoid.com.
