Welcome Cocofino to the Tofino Chamber of Commerce! Cocofino is our local small-batch delight: vegan coconut yogurt made in Tofino by Kevin & Marie, who fell in love with the coast and turned a home-experiment into a delicious, nourishing product. They offer flavours like Blueberry & Ginger, Mango & Turmeric, Strawberry & Rhubarb, and Plain—and everything is gluten-free, nut & soy free. Pure goodness in every pouch.

For anyone looking for a plant-based treat or something fresh for breakfast, snack time, or dessert, Cocofino has you covered. Glad to have them join our Chamber family! 💚

Workforce & Immigration Advocacy: we are supporting national efforts to address critical labour shortages.

✅ Backing the proposed Canadian International Workforce Program (CIWP) to help employers fill low-skilled and labourer positions.
✅ Supporting two policy resolutions at the Canadian Chamber AGM this October:
1️⃣ Restoring LMIA Points in Express Entry
2️⃣ Including resort communities like Tofino in the Federal Rural Communities Immigration Pilot Program

We’re committed to ensuring immigration pathways reflect the real needs of our businesses and community.

A huge thank you to Clayoquot Biosphere Trust and ƛaʔuukʷiʔatḥ (Tla-o-qui-aht First Nations) for hosting this past Saturday in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Clayoquot Sound UNESCO Biosphere.

It was a beautiful day filled with community, cultural sharing, learning, and connection. From song and storytelling to food, activities, and reflection on the past and future of our Biosphere Region, the event truly honoured the theme "Taking Pride in Working Together".

Thank you to all the organizers, volunteers, Nations, and community members who made this gathering possible — and to everyone who joined in to celebrate this milestone. Here’s to the next 25 years of collaboration, conservation, and shared prosperity.

Last week we attended Forward Summit, a national gathering focused on Indigenous prosperity and partnership in business.

Executive Director Samantha Hackett joined Nik Vischschraper (Tlaoquiaht Development Corporation / Tofino Chamber), Maria Clark (Island Coast Mobile Welding & Fabrication / Tin Wis / Tourism Tofino), and Corey Rich (Yuułuʔiłʔatḥ Government - Ucluelet First Nation) to listen, learn, and connect with innovators and changemakers advancing reconciliation through economic development.

These conversations will help guide our ongoing work to strengthen partnerships and collaboration across the region.
