Good news for B.C. businesses: the province has paused the planned expansion of PST to professional services that was set to begin October 1.

Thank you to everyone who spoke up, including the business owners and chambers across the province who raised the real costs of a non-recoverable tax. This is a win for the advocacy of the BC Chamber network and will keep money in the pockets of members & their customers.

A pause is not a cancellation. Eliminating it is a position adopted by members through the BC Chamber's policy process, and the Tofino Chamber will keep working with @ to see it scrapped.

We've been made aware that some of our members have received emails from someone claiming to sell a Tofino Chamber of Commerce "Registrants/Member List" with 1,000+ contacts.

This is not from us. The Tofino Chamber of Commerce does not sell or distribute member/registrant lists, and this email did not come from our organization.

If you received this email:
🚫 Don't reply or provide any payment information
🚩 Don't click any links or attachments
🗑️ Delete it, or report it as spam/phishing

We have a new Minister of Finance in town. Congratulations to our MLA and former mayor Josie Osborne on the new role in government.

The Tofino Chamber is teaming up with to host for a morning of conversation with residents and businesses. We'll be set up behind the čukʷaa haʔuk cafe at Clayoquot Campus (1084 Pacific Rim Hwy). Come for the full session or drop in when you can.
This event is open to all and entry to the Campus is free, plus complimentary coffee and baked goods. It's a great chance to see how the Naa'Waya'Sum Gardens have been reimagined, and all attendees will be entered to win a free annual pass so you can keep coming back to this beautiful spot!
Meet your MLA, ask questions, and share your thoughts on the issues that matter most to our community. Whether it's something happening on your street or something happening in Victoria, this is your chance to bring it straight to the person who represents us.
