Sometimes we need a gentle reminder that not everything happens overnight; good things take time. 🦋

Beautiful things are bound to manifest as long as you continue to show up and put in the work. Something we hear over and over, but it holds genuine truth.

When we become so fixated on the future and everything we want to DO, we lose ourselves and let the present moment escape us. And the present moment is where all the magic happens.

This is a reminder to allow yourself to appreciate your current circumstances, regardless of where you’re at. 🫶🏼

With so many new beautiful faces around here, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to get a little personal and share a bit about myself.⁠
⁠
I’m Victoria👋🏻, founder of The Paper Social. It’s crazy to think that it’s been almost three years (!!!!) since I embarked on this incredible journey that was once a distant dream. The growth I’ve experienced since its inception has been astronomical. It’s interesting to reflect on how much someone can grow when pushed outside of what feels comfortable. I constantly find myself in situations that challenge me and force me to explore new depths.⁠
⁠
Entrepreneurship gives me plenty of these opportunities and thoughtful lessons that gently nudge me toward expansion. I thought I’d put together a list of 5 lessons I’ve learned that have led to my ongoing evolution since starting this business.⁠
⁠
1️⃣Embrace what scares you; we’re conditioned to seek safety, but the most beautiful experiences await on the other side of fear.⁠
2️⃣ What we believe on a subconscious level that we are worthy of success, is inevitable. Our reality is merely a projection of our beliefs.⁠
3️⃣ The more we live authentically, in alignment with our truest selves, the more abundance flows into our lives.⁠
4️⃣ Don’t take things personally; we all project our own issues onto one another, which usually has nothing to do with us.⁠
5️⃣ Express gratitude and appreciation for everything that surrounds you.⁠

I look forward to a lifetime full of these lessons as I continue on this rollercoaster of a journey. I’d love to hear about the growth and lessons you’ve experienced when you’re pushed outside of what feels comfortable.💫⁠

Here are our top 3 tips for caption writing:

🪝the first line is the most important. If you don’t have a hook that makes people want to stop scrolling and read, the rest won’t matter.
🤍 personal is best. People like to feel connected online. Write copy that makes them feel like they know and can relate to you.
📞 be sure to include a C2A. Whether it’s a prompt to engage or click the link in your bio, guide your audience

Before we wrap up the year, I wanted to say Hi, check in, and of course, reflect on this crazy year. And there’s no better time to do just that than on your BIRTHDAY!🤠🤎

This business has brought so much joy into my life, from the community to the clients and my fricken amazing team. I am grateful to wake up every day and do what I love.

But what is a little reflection if I don't talk about the changes that have happened this year...

This year brought so much joy, but it also was extremely challenging.

In June, my business partner and co-founder decided she wanted to step away from the company. And just like any breakup, it was EXTREMELY hard. A company that was developed by two was now just one.

During this time, I was struggling to find myself. The person who started this with me, knew the ins and outs, and my right-hand woman is now gone. Sadly my initial thought was, can I even do this on my own? Imposter syndrome is real, and it was hella present.

For all of your business owners who are doing it on your own, cheers to you! Because this s**t ain’t easy.

Although June was a very challenging month, this change led to immense growth and gratitude. There were so many wins and amazing opportunities that came from it.

Our team is better than ever! We’ve taken on more clients than ever before, and we’ve been hitting our highest-grossing months. I’ve learned to delegate tasks and put trust in my team, which is a massive personal win.

I know this is cliche, but I am so excited to close this chapter. Although I am grateful for everything that has happened, and I know I can always look back on this year and be immensely proud of what was accomplished, I’m ready to say goodbye.

Hey, it's been a while...

June was a F**ked month, filled with LOTS of change, heartache, growing pains, and much-needed lessons learned. No one said entrepreneurship was easy, but we are ALWAYS down for a challenge and embrace change regardless of whether it rocks us.

That being said, we are currently going through a huge transitional phase in our business, and although these moments of change hurt, it is important to reflect on where we have been to push back better than ever. So, what's a bit of personal reflection without sharing what we have learned in the process?

1) Taking a break is okay - whether that is from social media or a moment in your day where you go for a walk, a coffee break, or whatever it is you need to do to realign, just do it. We promise the sky will not fall if you are not at your desk or online 24/7.

2) Never underestimate the magic of a to-do list - when tasks seem to be piling up and work seems never-ending, turn to that trusty old to-do list. Focus on one thing at a time and work through the list. Checking tasks off that list will be the most satisfying part of your day.

3) Sometimes, change is good - it makes you think about your processes and the support system you have in place. If we aren't changing and adapting, how can we continue to grow?

Thank you for sticking by us through it all, we are so grateful for YOU, and our community, and we can't wait to show up more and more in the coming months.
