🎉🎉COVER REVEAL🎉🎉

I am so thankful to be included in the cover reveal of latest book in the series of Finlay Donovan. I’ve read the entire series and I cannot wait to read this one.

Synopsis:
Finlay Donovan and her nanny/partner-in-crime Vero have not always gotten along with Finlay’s elderly neighbor, Mrs. Haggerty, the community busybody and president of the neighborhood watch. But when a simple call to a plumber turns into the discovery of a dead body in her backyard, Mrs. Haggerty needs their help.

The police take Mrs. Haggerty in for questioning and, though she swears she’s innocent, it’s clear to everyone she’s keeping a secret . . . but whose? With her house now an active crime scene, she’s released from custody with nowhere to go. Her concerned grandson, Brendan, an aspiring politician, doesn’t have room in his one-bedroom apartment for her and appeals to Finlay to let her stay at her place until the investigation is over.

Finlay and Vero have no interest in getting involved in another murder case—or sacrificing either of their bedrooms so they’d have to share. After all, they’ve dealt with enough murders over the last four months to last a lifetime and they both would much rather share their beds with someone else. But when the focus of the investigation widens to include Mrs. Haggerty’s neighbors, Finn and Vero are left with little choice but to uncover the woman’s secrets before the police start digging up theirs.

Desperate to clear his grandmother’s name before his upcoming campaign for local office, Brendan Haggerty makes Finlay and Vero an offer that seems too tempting to refuse: give their grandmother a place to stay under their watchful eyes and he’ll help Finlay and Vero find a killer. But who will solve the mystery first? And will the name Brendan turns over to the police exonerate or implicate them?

Peter Swanson has become an absolute favourite of mine recently. This is at least my 3rd or 4th book by him. His writing is so fantastic and the book takes so many unexpected turns that just keeps you wanting to read on. Even when I thought i had figured out what was going to happen at the end I was totally wrong. If you have not read a Peter Swanson book yet I highly recommend that you do and there is no better one to start with than this one.

🎉COVER REVEAL🎉

Thanks to and for including me in this exciting cover reveal on the latest book in the Finlay Donovan series. I’ve read them all and have been a big fan so I can’t wait for read this one.

Synopsis:

Finlay Donovan and her nanny/partner-in-crime Vero are in sore need of a girls’ weekend away. They plan a trip to Atlantic City, but odds are—seeing as it’s actually a cover story to negotiate a deal with a dangerous loan shark, save Vero’s childhood crush Javi, and hunt down a stolen car—it won’t be all fun and games. When Finlay’s ex-husband Steven and her mother insist on tagging along too, Finlay and Vero suddenly have a few too many meddlesome passengers along for the ride.

Within hours of arriving in their seedy casino hotel, it becomes clear their rescue mission is going to be a bust. Javi’s kidnapper, Marco, refuses to negotiate, demanding payment in full in exchange for Javi’s life. But that’s not all—he insists on knowing the whereabouts of his missing nephew, Ike, who mysteriously disappeared. Unable to confess what really happened to Ike, Finlay and Vero are forced to come up with a new plan: sleuth out the location of Javi and the Aston Martin, then steal them both back.

But when they sneak into the loan shark’s suite to search for clues, they find more than they bargained for—Marco, dead in his bathtub. They don’t have a clue who murdered him, only that they themselves have a very convincing motive. Then four members of the police department unexpectedly show up in town, also looking for Ike—and after Finlay's night with hot cop Nick at the police academy, he’s a little too eager to keep her close to his side.

If Finlay can juggle a jealous ex-husband, two precocious kids, her mother’s marital issues, a decomposing loan shark, and find Vero’s missing boyfriend, she might get out of Atlantic City in one piece. But will she fold under the pressure and come clean about the things she’s done, or be forced to double down?

📕AUDIOBOOK REVIEW📕
Jake, Nina, Christian, Lily became friends as Nina and Lily worked together in a school. Jake and Nina have recently been having some marital issues and when Jake doesn’t come home one day Nina thinks Jake has finally left her. Little does she know that her friends Christian and Lily may actually have something to do with Jake leaving. It’s up to Nina to try and find out what happened to Jake and why he is gone.

This was my second book by the author and have heard a lot of great reviews on it. I was excited to listen to the audiobook and there was a lot to like about the book. First off the narrator was great, she was easy to understand and had a very calm tone. I also loved the shorter chapters and the changing of POV’s between Nina and Christian each chapter. The storyline was very easy to follow along and the ending was a complete surprise to me. I don’t know if I loved Nina’s character as much and the way she handled things seemed a bit unusual and atypical. Overall, this was a solid thriller that many readers will enjoy.

📕Book Review📕
David Burroughs was tried and convicted of killing his son Matthew. David always professed his innocence but it did him no good. While in jail his wife had left him and he refused any visitors. That it until one say his sister in law comes to visit and shows him a photo of a boy that looks identical to Matthew. With some renewed hope he is reinvigorated to prove his innocence. He’s take a bit of an unconventional approach but he will do whatever it takes to not only show he didn’t do it but also to see his son again.

I have read a bunch of the authors books over the past few years and I’ve always loved his premises and writing style. This one was really great and found it to be fast paced and could not wait to keep listening. The author was fantastic and has a soothing voice that makes it easy to listen to. There are a couple secondary characters that are really enjoyable and humorous. The action picks up quickly and doesn’t really ever let up. I would say I didn’t absolutely love the ending but the book was very good and I will recommend it to others. The book is out now and sold everywhere books are.

📕Book Review📕
What Have We Done by Alex Finlay is a thrilling novel that follows the lives of five complex and intriguing characters who first met each other at a foster home they called the Saviour House. Fast forward many years and all of them are living their own lives. They are forced to confront their past when someone starts blackmailing them and trying to kill them.

The characters are well-crafted, each with their own unique backstory and motivations. Donnie is a rock star, Jenna is a former contract killer, Nico works in Hollywood, Ben is a judge, and Artemis is a tech billionaire. As the story unfolds, their secrets are revealed, and they are forced to work together to uncover the truth behind the blackmail and stop the person who is trying to kill them.

The plot is well-paced, with plenty of twists and turns that keep the reader engaged. The writing style is descriptive and immersive, bringing the characters and their world to life. The themes of redemption and forgiveness are woven throughout the story, making it a thought-provoking read.

Overall, the book is a thrilling and captivating story that will keep you guessing until the very end. It's a must-read for anyone who enjoys a good mystery and complex character development.

🎧AUDIOBOOK REVIEW📕
Amusement parks are suppose to be a place of joy. It’s the place where you can make great family memories, eat too much food and ride the best coasters. Wonderland had encompassed all of this at least in the public eye. Located in a small town called Seaside it was the main attraction and everyone in the town had either been there or worked there. One night one of the employees decided to climb one of the coasters to take a photo and then goes missing. When a dead body is found in the main area of the park this calls into action new Seaside chief of police, Vanessa Castro to find out what happened. What Vanessa finds is beyond her imagination and it appears Wonderland might not be the happy place everyone thinks it is.

This audiobook was a terrific read and a great thriller. I’ve read a few of the authors books and have enjoyed them all. I was excited to get to read this one and it did not let me down. The story kept building in a perfectly timed way and it has been guessing the whole time. The author does a fantastic job of developing all the characters in such a way you really feel like you know them all. The narrator of this one was also perfect for the story and made the book even more enjoyable to listen to. Highly recommending this one to all thriller lovers.

📕BOOK REVIEW📕
Gabe & Jacintha are a happily married couple as well as business partners. Their company specializes in pe*******on testing, Gabe is the tech guru and Jacintha has the physical attributes to do the penetrating. After another successful job, Jacintha returns home only to find Gabe's throat has been slashed and he's dead. The obvious first suspect is Jacintha and when she makes a decision that turns her into the prime suspect it is up to her to prove her innocence and find out who killed Gabe.

I have read a few of Ruth Ware's books and each time I finish one I am extremely satisfied and this one is no different. This was definitely a page tuner and I found it hard to put down. The book has non stop suspense as Jacintha tries to solve the case while the police are chasing her. She encounters so many close calls that keeps you breathless. I somewhat suspected who the real killer was a little more than half way in but I found that it did not impact by enjoyment of the book. I will be recommending this to everyone especially if you are into thriller reads.

Finished my 2nd book of my mini vacation, Savage Son by . This is the third book in the series of James Reece. I listened to the first two books and of those enjoyed The Terminal List the best until I read this one. Jack Carr does an amazing job of writing this book that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Savage Son tells continues telling the story of James Reece and his comeback story however he still has two enemies left to kill to get revenge for them playing a part in his family and friends death. While James os hunting for them he is also being hunted by the Russian mob at the hands of Oliver Grey, when a plan is set in motion to kill Reece he has to try and turn the tables and find a way to survive.

If your into military action type stories you will absolutely love this one. I would say you should read the series in order or you may not fully understand the back story which is pretty important. The first book, The Terminal List was also made into a tv show and it’s really good. I highly recommend the series and can’t wait to read the next book of it.

📕BOOK REVIEW📕

Tom Papa has become one of my favourite comedians over the last few years. He first came to my attention after his appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience. After that he appeared several more times and I grew to love him more and more. I was excited to read his last book You’re Doing Great and I really enjoyed it so I was equally excited to get the chance to read this book.

Each chapter discusses a different take the author has on a myriad of topics. This ranges from family vacations, diets, relationships and more. I really loved the quick hits from each chapter and the humour Tom provides. As any comedian does he finds reality in his points of view and I found a lot of points to be very relatable. The book is similarly written to his last one in terms of style so if you enjoyed that one you will certainly like this one too. I would highly recommend this one to comedy lovers everywhere.
