That’s a wrap on An Afternoon of Horror For A Good Cause: Part 2 — and what a turnout! Huge thanks to everyone who came through and supported our third community screening. Together, we collected a box and a half of food donations for — and just so you know, 1 pound of food equals one full meal for someone in need. Every item made a difference.

'Talk' has enjoyed a pretty successful film festival run. It has appeared in festivals across Canada, the United States and in Europe. Not only has it appeared in several festivals, but the short film has also received a number of awards including 2021 Emerging Canadian Short Film at the Cinefest Sudbury International Film Festival. Our lead actor Troy Crossfield also took home best actor nominations and awards at a number of festivals as well.

Thank you to all the festivals that gave us an opportunity. We are still buzzing about the chance to showcase our film!

Chrysalis Films' first short film under their production banner was shot and produced at the peak of the pandemic. Through strict Covid-19 measures the cast and crew was able to produced an impactful story about mental health and prolonged trauma.

'Talk': The story follows a man in his 40's who on the outside has everything that anyone would want. A great job, nice car, perfect family. However, on the inside, it is a different story. The man has been dealing with trauma that has been plaguing him since a child. These are issues that have sat with him for years and now they have begun to bubble over. The man is at the breaking point and is now contemplating su***de.
