“The (Un)Making of Métis Claims in Ontario” is two-day forum taking place December 13 & 14 in Sault Ste. Marie.

This event was created to educate the public on Metis claims in Ontario. It has a great lineup of academics and researchers who have published papers in opposition to the Metis Nation of Ontario.

The MNO is remaking Anishnaabe ancestors into ‘Verified Root Metis Ancestors’. Simply being mixed doesn’t make you a new Nation. The MNO is travelling around to schools and community events with a bus, asking to do people’s genealogies to see if they qualify to be a member of their organization.

This affects all people in Ontario. So please share this, come to the event if you are an educator, it is live streamed and it will be recorded.

Was so nice to see all the Native staff working here. Made some new friends and many memories!

I had an amazing time presenting here! Kids are amazing to work with! I loved seeing all the families come by to dance with me!
