A powerful message in this belt.

A powerful message in this belt.

The internet says today is International Women’s Day.
Ne ne wahi we ought to hold our life-sustainers in the highest regard every day.

They are the ones who bring life across the threshold.
They are our earliest nourishment and protection.
They are the first environment.
When our Women speak they speak for the land.
They carry our names, hold our titles, and watch over our futures.
It’s time we start listening to them again.

All of this and more is what I see carried in this belt.
