Meet Hannah Schallert! Hannah will be performing in Rotation(s) next weekend! Be sure not to miss it out on your chance to see Always With Me!

Hannah began her dance training at a young age at the School of Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre in Toronto, and continued at Etobicoke School of the Arts as a dance major. During and after high school, she danced with Young Movement Incorporated, Pia Bouman School for Ballet and Creative Movement’s resident company. There, she had the opportunity to work with both well-known and emerging choreographers, performing on established stages such as the Guelph Contemporary Dance Festival, as well as more unconventional settings for Nuit Blanche and International Dance Day. In the past, Hannah has had the pleasure of dancing in works by choreographers such as Julia Aplin, Meagan O’Shea, and Yuichiro Inoue, among others. Recently, she participated in a durational work by Anandam Dancetheatre for Nuit Blanche. She is excited to be working with Social Growl Dance as a management intern for their 2015/16 season. Hannah’s interests within dance extend from creation and performance to teaching, administration, and to somatic practices and dance science. All of this has influenced her to pursue a BFA in Dance from York University, where she is in her second year.
