Let me tell ya; as a person who absolutely loves movies, buying a proper popcorn maker for was an astounding decision on my part. One of the best choices I've ever made.

While writing my review for Sonic 2 (which you can read here [https://davewritesreviews.com/2026/03/05/sonic-the-hedgehog-2/] if you didn't read it already), I had to double check something in my review of Sonic 1.

What I learned is that I need to proof-read my reviews better, so I've been cleaning up the published ones so I don't look like even more of a chump than I already do.

Don't worry, though, there's a brand new review from a 2025 big hitter on the way, and it's gonna be... super.

Hello.

I made a pledge at the beginning of February that I was going to finish 3 of the reviews I started over the last few years and didn't finish, and I have not done that. I wanted to, I really did; and there are a number of valid reasons and a number of less valid excuses why I didn't do it, none of which are very interesting to anyone but me and maybe my wife, so I won't list them here.

I did, however, get really annoyed about it today because I consider myself to be a man of my word. Despite the fact that the only person I really needed to hold this pledge to was me, I still feel like I let people down by not doing it; and one of those people is me as well.

So what I did tonight was finish that review of Sonic The Hedgehog 2 that I mentioned in that post, having rewatched it earlier this month. It needs to be proof-read and then formatted and whatnot, but it's there. Thoughts on the page, so to speak. And I enjoyed doing it. I still like writing about films, and it was good to remind myself of that.

I'm going to put it up in the next day or two, and I hope at least of you read it, and that most of those people like it. Before the end of this week I'm going to try and get another one finished so it can go up too.

Hopefully this is the start of the rebirth of this little project. It's mostly for fun for me, an outlet for creativity, but I hope you all enjoy it too, if you see it.
