Throwaway account since my BF is super active on my main Reddit account.

I (28F) blow glass and turn it into art for a living. I create all types of fun art to use around the house and try to make my place fun, colorful and bright.

My BF (34M) of 2 years has always used the same traditional glass vase whenever he buys me flowers and I wanted to create something new that would not only bring the flowers to life but also pop when visitors are over.

I have been working on this vase now for weeks and yesterday I took the flowers he just bought me and placed them into the new vase to surprise him when he got home from work.

When he got home he made a weird face and said that it was a bit of an “eye sore” and he preferred the traditional vase instead.

I worked really hard on this and was hoping he’d appreciate it but I guess he isn’t the biggest fan…

Walked into a restaurant for lunch today, saw this sign in the foyer, and then turned back around and walked right back out. NOT because I’m not willing to tip at least 20%, because that’s the minimum I tip as long as I get good service, and I always tip more if the service warrants it, but because I’m sick and tired of being told how much I am expected to tip when I eat out! Did I do the right thing by leaving? Would you have left, too? Or am I being dramatic?

I find it remarkable that 90% of diners fail to leave a tip, despite the receipt clearly indicating that the $10.08 service charge is not a gratuity. This table's bill totaled $71.11, and yet they chose to leave the optional tip line empty—underscoring the challenges restaurants face in retaining employees. It is illogical to expect full service without compensating the staff
accordingly. This dichotomy is untenable.

This should NEVER be on a Christmas Wishlist but since it was😭 I had to try & grab everything imaginable that would make it feel like a gift. I was dropping something off at a local shelter/donation center and they had a Wishing/Giving Tree, I just glance at this one & out of curiosity I looked up what First Moon was because I never heard the term and honestly I was thinking Twilight for some reason but the kit/basket is what made me Google it...

THERE WAS NO WAY I was leaving this one, its heartbreaking enough to see that this is a priority wish for a young girl but to think if it stayed there and not got fulfilled was even more heart breaking. I was in the store stressing trying to think if all the things that make "that time" better 🤣... feeling cozy..feeling pretty..smelling good.. chocolate..ice cream.. I guessed on snacks what most girls in at age range eat 🤣 I wanted to get her a cute heating pad but but they were out of stock in store even at target/CVS so I ordered one off Amazon and forgot I ordered one 🤣 so I had to take that separately and they put it with her other stuff. I also got her a few other things that I felt were inappropriate to take photos of but those who will suggest black undergarments... I got her covered in that department too. *NO* Didn't get midol/pain relief because this is 🗣SOMEONE ELSE'S CHILD at the end of the day! Some shelters have rules even against pain meds and they have to be checked in.. the people in the comments saying that I left out the most important thing..take a minute and THINK please.. the school nurse cant even give out meds without a parents permission..why would I gift a child some pain meds

I'm sure she probably gets the essentials she needs some how, this may have just been something she heard someone else maybe at school receive.. I may be projecting but I felt this request was more about feeling the love and intentionality behind a kit/basket maybe even have a lady's influence if she only has her dad or something...idk I just felt I was at the right place at the right time and this was my assignment.
*For the bing bongs that say every year "why do you have to share it..do it in private ".. I can't, im never in people's faces.. I never upload familes unless THEY OFFER.. I never tag anyone.. I just post to not only INSPIRE...but to help fund for it so I can continue to do it. I would never be able to stretch as far as I do without the help of social media.. even picking up this tag was a risk because I had already maxed out with other sponsorship commitments & you wouldn't believe how much this stuff was, I grabbed everything with my heart and not my pocket and got to the register in pure shock. So if it bothers you that Im using MY platform to post what I do.. please Google "how to block someone on Facebook " and follow those instructions.

What to do if your in this situation...Worst Luck ever!!!.... Your prize trophy Deer is laying about 80 yards on private land. All you can do is just stare from the border line.
-Land owner deny permission to get your trophy back.
-CO said there's nothing he can help with.
-Offer $150 to farmer for permission and he still says no.
-Offer to help around the farm for FREE, and he still says no!
So close yet so far!!! The Struggles is real! Who can relate....😭
