Los Trágicos del Swing

Los Trágicos del Swing Los Trágicos del Swing is a collective of artists that are passionate about music and animation

Los Tragicos del Swing Collective is composed of three members, two of them from Medellín, Colombia and one from Veracruz, México; all three of them are bilingual (Spanish and English) being Spanish their mother tongue. Alberto Cruz is a painter, graphic designer, animator and drummer/percussionist. Daniela Arango is a community arts worker, artisan, and performer. Juan Villegas is a graphic desig

ner, community arts facilitator, audio producer, bass player and visual artist. After witnessing the impact that a personal project like this could cause, los Tragicos del Swing decided to become a collective that could serve the community and create spaces and platforms for creativity, inclusion and diversity while using arts as a tool to transform a “tragic” event into an artistic expression. As a collective we understand that the concept of 'tragedy' varies according to the individual’s circumstances, personality, and way of seeing life. At no time do we intend to replace professional therapy but instead to serve as an additional form of catharsis. Español
