A Shame Too Great to Speak

There are moments when what we hear shocks us so deeply that words fail. Recently, something so disgraceful, so disturbing, that I could hardly bring myself to repeat it—let alone pronounce it aloud.

It is a shame of the highest order. The kind of issue that makes one pause and question the direction of our society. How did we get here? How did something so unacceptable become something we must even discuss?

Silence, however, is not the answer. When we refuse to confront such matters, we allow them to grow unchecked. Even when the truth is difficult to speak, it must still be acknowledged.

We must do better. We must stand for what is right, even when it is uncomfortable, even when it is painful. Because ignoring what is shameful does not erase it—it only gives it more power.

Some things are hard to say. But that does not mean they should never be said.

The notion that youth must suspend their ambitions simply because a “big man ” is in office is not only undemocratic, but also intellectually and morally indefensible. Leadership is not a personal entitlement; it is a public trust that should remain open to scrutiny and competition.
The case of Hon:Mohamed Gabow illustrates this failure vividly. Here is a young, educated, energetic, and forward-thinking individual,someone who could meaningfully contribute to the progress of his community, yet instead of being encouraged, he is reportedly intimidated, lectured, and discouraged by political intermediaries. This behavior exposes a system that does not fear incompetence, but rather fears capable challengers who may disrupt the status quo .
Such an environment breeds stagnation. It replaces merit with loyalty, vision with submission, and progress with control. When youth are made to feel that they have “no right to dream,” the community is not preserving order, it is silencing its own future.
In clear terms, this is not merely unfortunate; it is a systemic failure of political culture, one that undermines democracy, weakens leadership, and denies the community the benefits of fresh ideas and accountable governance.

US to continue launching ‘extensive’ air and sea strikes
A US official has told Al Jazeera that it will continue to launch “extensive” strikes from the air and sea at Iran.

The US-Israeli attacks aim to dismantle the Iranian security apparatus and are currently limited to targets in Iran, the official said.

They confirmed that the US Air Force was participating in the strikes and that it was coordinating with the Israeli military.

Nasa Ige who was arrested o 11 the february at JKIA on arrival from Australia has been in custody of the Antiterror police for the last ten days after the embsassies of newzealand and Australian high commisions confirmed the passports were valid.
The somali embassy is to confirm the position of his diplomatic passport.
