Will and Madryn survey the Sphinx!

We look at the Egyptian and Greek history of this mighty monster, and its evolution into the winged inquisitor we know today. Then we look at the sphinxes appearances in pop culture, from riddling literature, to D&D variants, and the great gaming beyond! Finally, we’re joined by The Librarian (Margaret Hild), guardian of The Lost Library of Alexandria. We test the boundary of her friendship, find out if she’s predator or pal, check in on the sphinx cult, and attempt to gain entry to the library by answering some mind-melting riddles!

Will and Madryn go for a deep dive with Mermaids!

We look at the mythical, medieval, and mystical origins of the mermaid, and break down how we got from sea foam to this prolific modern monster. Then we wade through the seas of mermaid pop culture, from peak Tom Hanks performances, to treasure hunting companions. Finally, we’re joined by Nixious (Brandon Knox) who tells us about integrating plastic into merfolk design, speaking in barely audible bubbles, his slick stank, human lurking, and how Mermaids sleep.

We study the haggardly history of this epic unrestrained feminist icon. Master of destiny, or Slavic sociopath? Terrifying trio, or the solo solution to life’s deepest problems? Time will tell. These old crones also make many appearances in pop culture, jumping through Shakespearian seances, witchy TV, family fare, and endless role playing campaigns. Finally, we’re joined by Svetlana (Mona Hillis) who tells us about her incredible house, her lizard beer, dream riding, travel times, and respectful hag terminology. Have A Great Summer!

Will and Madryn level up and go for an adventure in Dungeons and Dragons, in this special edition Creature Feature!

We talk through the basics of the game, and the history of this epic tabletop experience. From Gary Gygax’s influences, to satanic panic, and the great digital gaming beyond! We also look at our fav pop culture, their best quotes, our top moments, top kills, and of course, we give out our Creatchie Awards!

Will and Madryn make magic with Mummies! We look at the history of these romantic bandage monsters, and the evolution of their curse. Then we go on an adventure through pop culture, featuring Boris Karloff, Brendan Fraser, and one epic throwback music video. Finally we’re joined by ABA (Brianna Love), a mummy mummy who unwraps their past after waking up in a warehouse, and discovering their jarred organs, burial jewels, hot bean water, and a potentially world ending undead power.

Then we look at the deep impact Trolls have had on pop culture, including Troll-hunters, wizard fighters, song singers, internet instigators, god fighters, and more! Finally, we’re joined by Trollman Domingo (Gordon Harper) who shows off his landscapes, and discusses light sensitivity, his usual diet, and whether he would do a Spider-Man bridge painting commission for a bag of travel jewels.
