What I’d tell every woman afraid to take up space:

You don’t have to shrink yourself. The world needs your full self, not the quieter, smaller version you were taught to be.

I remember learning about Brene Brown’s concept of perfectionism being the 20-ton shield. We think perfectionism is shielding us from criticism, but it’s also stopping us from showing up and being seen.

You don’t have to apologize for your voice, your ambition, your opinions or your presence.

You deserve to show up. The critics, naysayers and haters will always be there. But they don’t always need to matter.

So speak louder. Dream bigger. Take up every inch of the space that’s already yours 💫

That moment you proved someone wrong… and it felt so good 💖 HERE’S MINE 👇🏽

After I won Survivor, I did a press interview and the interviewer said, “You quit your job. What were you going to do if you didn’t win?”

I said, “I just knew that whether I won or got voted out first, I’d be able to figure it out.”

And he said, “Hm, I have a hard time believing that.”

🫠🫠🫠

I remember feeling so annoyed. Why doubt me? Especially after I won? Why not accept that I have faith in myself?

Well, I can’t go back in time and un-win Survivor 🤪, but I can look back proudly at how I have figured it out!

For one, I had back up plans already in place to do freelance work in case I didn’t win Survivor 👀

I embraced the opportunity to build a career for myself doing what I love! Telling stories and inspiring people. I did it using the skills I knew I had before ever being on TV.

I’ve come a long way, I still have a long way to go and I’m proud of the journey. Yes, it’s had ups and downs, but that faith in myself continues to push me through 💕

So maybe this person had a “hard time believing that” but where I’m at now is a fact 🙌🏽

I want to hear your story. When did you prove someone wrong? Drop it in the comments!👇

Every moment on stage is the result of a journey ✨

Before the spotlight, there’s preparation.
Before the applause, there’s relationship-building.
Before the keynote, there’s often a flight (or two!)

Last week, that journey brought me to Fort St. John, BC, where I had the honour of being the keynote speaker at the Spark Women’s Leadership Conference .

The energy was electric. This community was warm, thoughtful and truly enthusiastic 🙌🏽

One of the highlights? Traveling alongside an incredible group of Canadian keynote speakers and feeling genuine camaraderie. No competition. Just support, connection and shared purpose💕

Thank you for welcoming me to Northern BC for the first time and for reminding me why this work matters 🌿

The life of a Canadian keynote speaker 🗣️

It’s truly the BEST JOB❤️

After spending years ghostwriting speeches for other people, it’s always the biggest honour to travel throughout Canada to take the stage, share my story and inspire people ✨

Thank you for trusting me to join your conference and remind your community of how impactful they truly are! Sonographers are amazing 💖
