FIFA have asked Haiti national team to change their World Cup kits.

The issue is a design showing the Battle of Vertières, linked to Haiti's revolution and independence, which FIFA considers a political message.

Bayern Munich have proposed a deal worth €45m plus €5m in add-ons for Ismael Saibari.

PSV Eindhoven are holding out for a minimum fee of €50m, with talks still ongoing between both clubs.

A contract running until 2031 is already prepared for the Moroccan midfielder and all parties remain confident a deal will be reached soon.

Guillermo Ochoa could have signed for PSG in 2011 and admits he has regrets:

"It's a shame. While I was in talks with a club in MLS, another in Brazil, one in Spain and one in the English second division, we had reached an agreement before the Qataris arrived.

"But then there was the clenbuterol issue, a product used to fatten cattle in Mexico.

"I ate meat, just like three of my teammates. The substance stayed in our bodies for three or four days, we tested positive during the Gold Cup, were suspended and later cleared.

"That situation stopped me from signing for a club for two and a half months."

"After my suspension, clubs came back for me. But I had given my word to Alain Orsoni, a man who was honest, direct and trustworthy.

"He believed in me, gave me confidence and CHANGED MY CAREER. In the end, he was like a father to me. I remained friends with him after leaving Ajaccio.

"He sent me messages, called me and even came to visit me in Mexico. He met my daughter Lucciana, who was born in Ajaccio in 2013, and also became close to my father. His death was very hard for me."

Guillermo Ochoa says he will retire from international football after the World Cup:

"With the national team, it's 100% certain. It's wonderful and the right time to stop while having my name on the same list as incredible players like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

"As for club football, I still need to think about it. Nobody knows because it doesn't appear on television, but I have made many sacrifices over the last three or four years to play in this World Cup.

"I was alone in Italy with US Salernitana 1919, in Portugal with AVS Futebol SAD and in Cyprus with AEL Limassol. It was difficult for me and my family, who stayed in Madrid.

"After so many years in football, I need to clear my mind for two or three years."

🗣 Victor Osimhen: “No one was supposed to know my name. Even you reading this is proof of God’s grace. My mother died when I was still a baby. I think I was 3 years old. I wasn’t old enough to remember her. The only thing I still have in my mind about her is her holding me in her arms.

“In my neighborhood, most people survived by selling the trash they found at the dump, but when I was little, my father worked as a driver. After my mother died, he lost that job and started working as a dishwasher in the kitchen of a police station. But it wasn’t enough to pay our rent.

“I remember one night when I was about 12 years old. The landlord had lost his patience and cut off the electricity in our apartment. One room, seven people — no TV, no light, nothing. Just darkness. I remember going outside, sitting next to a swamp — a real swamp — and I started crying. I asked God, ‘What kind of life is this?’”

He further recalled:

“I was giving everything I earned to my siblings for food and rent. Most nights, I slept in the church. Our house barely even had a roof. The landlord kept saying he would fix it because it was about to collapse.

“Then one day, he sent a few men to our home, and they removed the roof and never brought it back. We’re still waiting for him to repair it. It’s been 13 years! I pray for everyone, I really do. Landlords, though... somehow I always forget them in my prayers.”

The wife of Diogo Jota, Rute Cardoso, wrote a letter to Andy Robertson as part of FIFA’s ‘Letters that Unite’ feature ahead of the World Cup.

It reads: "Andy I’m writing to you with a heart full of longing, gratitude and above all pride. Diogo often spoke of you, of the friendship you built, the battles you fought together, the challenges, the laughter, the conversations about football and about dreams.

“The World Cup was one of those dreams, a dream that the two of you nurtured side by side with the same passion with which you took to the pitch. When I heard your words and learnt what you felt on that day when Scotland qualified for the World Cup after so many years of waiting, I realised that Diogo never truly left the pitch.

"By achieving that moment and securing your place at the World Cup, you won’t be going alone; you’ll be taking his dream with you too. And when you step onto the pitch, I know it won’t be just you walking out; Diogo will be with you in your thoughts, in your steps, in your heart.

“So, today I want to thank you. Thank you for not forgetting him. Thank you for taking him with you. Thank you for turning the pain of loss into strength and into something so beautiful. That’s how we do it here at home too, every day. He would be and is incredibly proud of you.

"Cherish that dream, Andy. Live it for yourself and for him. With love, gratitude and all my support, Rute Cardoso."
