We had so much fun composing the original soundtrack for When the Blossoms Fade, which has just won Best Canadian Documentary Short Film at the 29th Vancouver Asian Film Festival!!
In the film, Tamiko Potts, a Japanese Canadian filmmaker retraces their mother’s WWII internment and uncovers hidden trauma and the enduring impact of displacement on family and identity.
Huge congratulations to Tamiko who was truly wonderful to work with, and the talented production team 🥹
Making music for something this meaningful felt really special.
