Join us on May 6th and 20th for our next two Kitchen Party Poetry and Prose Readings.

Open mic sign-up 6:30pm
Readings at 7pm

We’ll be bringing our reading series to the second floor parlour room for two rounds of open mic readings.

Whether you want to read your original work or just connect with and support local Halifax writers. All are welcome.

To close Poetry Month out proper, we’ll be hosting a special poetry-only open mic .

Come listen to local poets read their work or get the chance to read your own over the course of two rounds of readings.

Our bi-weekly reading series gives local writers (of all levels) the opportunity to share their original poetry and prose in a casual and collaborative environment.

Readings take place over the course of two rounds, with contributors getting the chance to read twice throughout the evening (numbers depending).

Each reader, per round, is limited to two pieces or five minutes of content (whichever is shorter).

If you have any questions about the event, or about Black Sails Publications, feel free to reach out.
