📸 When you try to take the perfect travel photo with a toddler… and end up with a mini workout, a meltdown, and no one looking at the camera.
IYKYK. 😂
We were in front of Universal Studios Singapore, ready to snap a cute family shot.
But our toddler? He had other plans.
He wanted to walk.
He didn’t want to be held.
Then he started crying.
Then we gave up.
Some shots could’ve been nice...
But why were my husband and I always looking in opposite directions? 😂
Here's the truth no one tells you:
🎢 Traveling with a toddler = real life, not Pinterest-perfect photos.
But that’s what makes it beautiful.

📌 Here are some real tips I’ve learned about taking photos after 10 countries with my baby:
✅ Carry them like an “airplane” when taking a pic (it distracts them)
✅ Say something they love (“Where’s the minions?”)
✅ Give a silly action cue (“Show your tongue!” works every time)
✅ Say a funny word (I said “kawaii” once and got a giggle 😅)
✅ Accept that sometimes, none of this will work—and that’s okay.
These “failed” photos? Still priceless.
They’re part of the real memories we’re making as a young family—tired smiles, funny bloopers, and all.

So mama, if you’re traveling with a toddler soon…
📷 Don’t stress over the photo.
🎈 Live the moment.
💛 And keep the bloopers—they tell the best stories.
