Spent the day at the Genelec immersive audio training and left with my head spinning a little.
Immersive audio sounds like a buzzword until you sit in a properly calibrated room and hear a mix actually wrap around you. Then it just clicks.
This is where we’re taking MBR. We’ve got Genelec’s The Ones going into both rooms this September with full GLM calibration, and getting hands on with the workflow straight from the people who built it makes the whole thing feel a lot closer than it did this morning.
Massive thanks to GENELEC and SFM for running it, and to Strada XR for having us at their unbelievably gorgeous facility. This is the stuff that dreams are made of.
