As urban Indigenous people, we walk in two worlds - growing and adapting within a Western society while remaining grounded in our identities, cultures, and teachings.

This delicate nation-to-nation relationship is strengthened through respect, understanding, and supporting one another as we move forward together.

It is about uplifting one another, honouring our differences, and building a stronger community through connection and shared purpose.

We hope you will join us at our Powwow, where everyone is welcome.

Here's to the writers, the artists, the translators who tell our stories even in the face of persecution, and recognize erasure as its own kind of violence and memory as resistance.

Thank you Toni Morrison for all you were and all the ways you helped us be.

our Galentine's Day guest this year is the luminous and magnificent Miss Julie S. Lalonde—a dear friend of Jenn's but also a bestselling author, an internationally recognized women’s rights advocate, and an amazing public educator.

Franco-ontarienne du nord de l’Ontario, elle est basée à Ottawa. Julie holds a BA and MA in Canadian Studies and Women’s Studies from Carleton University with a focus on the lives of economically disadvantaged elderly women.

Julie and Jenn discussed how to discuss Epstein while centering survivors, the many brosocialist losers lurking on the left, harassment and bystander intervention, and the urgent need for strong millennial feminist friends (like us!) to lift eachother up and stop tearing eachother down (shine theory, baby!)

our conversation with the luminous and brilliant is out now wherever you get your podcasts ♥️🌈

We join many across Manitoba in mourning the passing of Chief Richard Hart and extend our deepest condolences to the people of Bunibonibee Cree Nation and all those who are grieving his loss.

As we reflect on his life, we are reminded of his own words:

“When there are times of trouble and turmoil and grief, we do support one another and help one another and try to get through it the best we can.”

We stand in solidarity with his family, loved ones, and the entire community during this difficult time.

Better things are coming. Maybe not all at once. Maybe not in the ways you expect. But they are coming. Keep holding on.
