First and foremost, this is not a critcism of the nursery or the garden centre selling Monstera Bulbasaurs. The comments below are my opinions based on my experience with Monsteras.

Overall, I recommend NOT buying the latest influx of Monstera Bulbasaurs.

1. Low variegation - I’ve seen a few mature version of these plants from likely similar tissue culture batches and the variegation is not great. I think the price should reflect that and $90 is not it.

2. The first few batches are always the most expensive. All the nurseries including big box stores will carry this Monstera and supply will exceed demand.

3. Monsteras are fast growers. I don’t think they should be expensive plants and IMHO $90 is expensive.

Last but not least, don’t let my opinions stop you from buying the plant. I could be completely wrong or completely right but in the end, it’s your plant, your money and your heart to fill. 💚

The pots are called GLACIÄRBJÖRN and the two sizes are priced at $8.99 for the 4 inch and $5.99 for the 3 inch.

Found IKEA Canada

Love them so much! 💚

I separated them with the intention of selling two out of the three. I don’t need three of the same plant. But I don’t know which one I love less. So until I figure that out, they all stay with me 😬

How to bring back an orchid from almost death: hope and pray it gives you a little baby keiki.

A keiki is a small baby plant that sprouts directly from the mother orchid’s flower stem or base. It is an exact genetic clone of the mother orchid.

I will need to wait until it grows bigger leaves before separating it from the mother plant. Or MAYBE, just maybe, I leave it as-is?

Let me know what you think 🥰

Do you like these flowers? 🌸 I didn’t look up how the flowers looked before they bloomed so it was a complete surprise. 🥰

When buying clear plastic pots, you also want to make sure that the plastic is sturdy and not too flimsy. There are a few options on Amazon that felt thin, low quality and not sturdy enough for me.

If you’re interested in these plastic pots, go to my profile page and click on my link tree under my profile pic.
