Here’s another tip for you: cooler nights, drop in temps, will also help encourage blooming for Hoyas and orchids. I usually open my window at night to let cooler air in. Just a few degrees cooler at night will help encourage your Hoya to grow peduncles.

I don’t know if it’s sadistic but I love watching the little flies get trapped on my butterworts. I enjoy watching them try to free themselves from the sticky trap unsuccessfully.

These butterworts are planted in a butter dish with Rooting Riches Mix.

The risk of pests exists all year round but I think the risk is higher during the season of outdoor gardening.

I will avoid buying plants that have been near vegetable or fruit bearing plants because those types of plants attract pests like aphids and whiteflies.

There is also a lot more traffic in a garden centre at this time of year — people and plants.

If you’re comfortable buying a plant, just take proper precautions and quarantine your new plant until you’re sure it’s pest-free.

Begonias requires little bit more work because they tend to be thirsty plants. But they do grow relatively fast and more consistently compared to other plants. I love this Begonia because of the texture of the leaves.

The secret to a lush pancake plant with flat leaves is water. It’s a thirsty plant that appreciates being watered as soon as the potting mix is dry.

Sometimes I wish that I can post my opinion videos and just have it be visible to my followers. Once a video starts trending, the comments get wild and annoying.

The flowers have a pleasant scent. It smells clean and floral all at the same time.
