The west and its double standard behavior

One of the reasons I support President Putin, is that he has given the West a taste of their hypocrisy.

For more than 70 years, Israel has been annexing land from Palestine, and they have been silent and even refused to condemn Israel in strong language, some of them prevented UN security council to adopt such resolutions, freeing Israel from international accountability, allowing her to do whatever.

Now that Russia has annexed 4 regions of Ukraine, they have started to raise alarm, like half of the world has being taken by Russia, why we didn't see this kind of reaction and condemnation to the conistant and unlawfull annextion of palestian land by Isreal, why the west took 70+ years to come to the same level of concern and interest to Palestinian issue, but took hours, if not minutes to Ukraine issue.

I don't see any other way, except Ukraine to be patient, because what has happened to them recently, has been happening to the Palestinians for almost a century.

The Impact of Social Media on Somali Youth

Social media refers to all applications and websites or blogs that enable people around the globe to interconnect via the internet, chat, and share content, video call among many other functionalities it offers to its users.

The past two decades has been good, and eventful, since social media emerged and gained tremendous growth and widespread use in countries around the world, especially young generation who have benefited from it, and simplified their daily activities, unlike previous generations who were mostly unlucky to see and use this innovative technology.

But apart from these handful benefits social media brought to this generation, it also came a long with many hidden and far reaching problems, it certainly made the life easier for youngsters in connecting and socializing generally, but Somali youth in particular fall victims to these new unaccustomed ways of communication unknowingly and inadvertently contributed to the demise of their culture, health, morals, and most importantly to their way of live. because of my concern and connection to the topic, i liked to write a little bit about it and share with you here.

While there are benefits that are often overstated, and exaggerated, the risks and problems that social media poses are enormous and unimaginable.

Its widespread use can be seen anytime, anywhere, and you may sometimes see someone who is engaged in telephone falling into potholes, accidents or other dangerous scenarios, but that is just tip of iceberg in terms of misuses , misconducts, and unethical practices, that's going on these platforms, such as tiktok, YouTube, shorts, Facebook reels, whatsapp and many more.

It is not correct to say, it is all misused, there are very few people who use it in a good way, and as means of communicating with friends, colleagues, parts of their families abroad, work, etc. but it's often misused by the majority to the detriment of their values, and it can be categorized as follows.

Some of them use as a tool to work and earn a living by sending inaccurate messages, such as posting fake news, holding a competition of praise and insults in between the clans which they use extort money from the individual to support respective inclintions, Which sometimes gives you the impression that this is a pre-planned mechanism to harvest money from those innocent individuals, whose emotions are manipulated, and their tribal sentiments aroused, which is the weakest point of Somali society, and this group took advantage of that sensitivity.

Some use it in a nasty, explicitly dirty talk, and vulgar languages, which shockingly becoming normal among the youth, boys and girls alike, and even some elderly people.

Many societies around the world, similarly used social media, but they have managed early enough to identify and be aware of the benefits, and the harms. They have worked extensively and researched ways to curb its effects, and subsequently have enacted laws to hold accountable those who violate sanctity of their existence.

Although, somalia has no government capable of controlling everything, yet we have failed to recognize and deal with it, as a gov't and as a society the danger, and the hidden problems our children are exposed to, in the name of having fun, entertainment, etc. and as usual parents are informed and showed the good part of it, which also taking advantage of their lack of knowledge and awareness.

I would like to conclude that, our independent and private media are busy analyzing, and talking about politics, day in day out and that's understandably their business and livelihood. but their responsibility covers every aspect of the public live.

They could have at least predicted and warn the public about this culture erosion, that we faced now, because they have access to the information before anyone else. Unfortunately our traditions, way of live, and values are in question and deminishing slowly right in front of them, and unless we do something about it and wait another decade or so, we'll reach a point of return. God forbid that. My hope is that we wake soon enough and stop this madness behavior.

Unanswered questions about Pr Abdulwahab's abduction.

I am very interested to know more about your relationship with Roble before and after your abduction. What were the circumstances surrounding your abduction?

One of the important points to know is that, killings and abductions of Somali origin individuals has been happening in Kenya quite some time before your own, just like the case of Somali American businessman who's body been found killed and dumped. Which was sad.

It's being a long time, and you haven't been seen or heard blaming your abduction on anybody before Fahad's interview. Why are you suddenly convinced by Fahad's claims? , when there is no official report stating that Roble was behind your kidnapping. Can it be interpreted that you already had a beef with him and Fahad gave you a chance, and an excuse to show up? unlike Fahad, that we all know of his beef with Rooble .

Despite Fahad's claims, hasn't Kenya investigated the case? what was the result if they did so? Did you ever try to find out who was behind your abduction before Fahad's interview?

because you don't agree with the current administrator's actions doesn't mean they wrong, like today's case of withdrawing security from Kulane, does MP Kulane still has security clearance, or people still think it's good idea to share intelligence matters with everyone and every time. yes he was member of intelligence agency, but not any more.

He's no longer a NISA man, so there's no way he should still keep NISA agents as his personnel guards and it's not about mistakes they've made, it's because people are stepping out of their limits and getting involved in everything, turning good and well executed ideas into insults.

Fahad: I have become a governor of Islamic organizations, in one the Somali provinces, which he didn't mention, and the organization that I worked with has changed its name to ICTISAAM, and I still believe them. But I don't know nothing about AS. Interesting.
Although I still debate the differences between SALAFI and ICTISAAM and believe they share same and common root, I came to know a slight difference between the two, and the shiekh clerified that. but still, there're Dots that need to be connected.

Kenya's actions today are a clear indication of its misbehavior and it's ill conceived political ambitions and lack of interest in good neighborhood. MD HSM should be very careful in dealing with Kenya, it's intention aren't good, which I think somalia should make it clear that kenya will not get a hot meal on its plate.

This yet to be formed new gov't should mostly take, the same stance as previous one. Because Kenya appears to have non reliable and dishonest attitude.

I hope we won't make concessions and compromises to a neighbor whose not willing anything good, our gov't shouldn't take any hasty decisions on lifting khat or Miraa ban, until Kenya readjusts its willfull illusionist mindset.

Why do so many social media users spread hatred, mislead and put the public up against the new gov't before its formation? , coming up with meaningless complaints, spread false information, creating panic and mistrust amongst the public.

When hypocrisy become a thing of pride. Who do you work for? What makes you put all of the efforts, time and energy into something that only tears the public apart. One of the issues that cought my attention was, khat. If you agree Ethiopia's khat to be imported as it is now, what makes kenya's one a treason done by the new president?

Let me try to understand this. The girl was taken out of the NISA camp by a NISA vehicle captured by security cameras. But Al-Adala sent it. Al-Adala! isn't Al-cadaala, the Deputy Minister of Information?, how can it be that the men in NISA who are really spies and vehicles are under the command of someone else, who does not even work in the same department, and doesn't that mean the agents were exposed? How did the reporter miss that point? What's more embarrassing is that, NISA told the public that AS killed the girl, but, AS immediately denied the accusations, which is something they don't do usually. They normally take pride of killing everyone who opposes them, and mostly importantly if that person is gov't employee. So what was really going on NISA back then.
