Toronto just lost another major festival πŸ’” But the story of Little Jamaica is deeper than one event.

Since the 1950s, Caribbean migrants built this strip into a hub for food, music, barbershops, and culture. It’s more than a place β€” it’s a reflection of mentorship, resilience, and belonging.

That’s why losing the festival hits so hard. It’s not just a party β€” it’s decades of culture and survival.

But the hope is still alive: with support from the community, Little Jamaica Festival will return stronger in 2026. Until then, let’s keep showing up, shopping local, and keeping the spirit alive. βœŠπŸΎπŸ‡―πŸ‡²

Canada’s recession is squeezing entrepreneurs more than ever. Many are absorbing costs just to keep doors open. Let’s keep showing up for local shops β€” every purchase counts. πŸ™Œ
