🚨🏆🚨 Jack Royal Productions is so proud to congratulate Junction59 on winning the 2023 Best In Show Award at the Summit International Awards for their Public Service Campaign MADD Canada Garage Sale!
Jack Royal and our Director Peter Simovic are honoured to have been able to collaborate on this campaign having produced and directed the Garage Sale commercial component. Huge congrats Curtis Wolowich, Ben Benchitrit, Sandra Colburn for their amazing work on this campaign.

Highlighting our projects on Jack Royal’s social media is always a fun job, but today’s post is a bit more personal. I’d like to highlight an instrumental figure in Jack Royals work and a close personal friend.

Frank “Paco” Merino or as he’s fondly known in the film industry, “The Gucci Gaffer” has been, a legend in the Toronto film industry for over 40 years and I’m honoured to be his friend for near half of that. He started as my teacher, then employer, moving to friend, mentor and brother. He is still all of these things to me. Today I’d like to honour and thank him for all he’s done for me in my career and Jack Royal. He has not only been the Gaffer of every commercial I’ve had the pleasure to produce & direct, but a trusted confidant and motivator while on set and in life.

If any of you reading this has had the opportunity to work with, chat or just meet Paco, you know the amazing soul that he is. We are all better having had him on our team.
You’re a legend Paco, thank you for being you. Enjoy retirement and I look forward to our “Paco Days” to come!
