Comuna 13 feels like an open-air art gallery.

Every corner bursts with colorful murals, bold street art, and stories painted right onto the walls. I loved just walking around, stopping every few steps, and noticing the details in each artwork.

Yes, it’s popular with tourists now. But the murals still give the neighborhood its heart, color, and voice.

Vang Vieng, Laos 🇱🇦

One of the last things I expected to see in Vang Vieng was a group of monks cooling off in a lagoon.

No ceremonies. No temple. No crowds.

Just a few monks laughing, splashing around, and enjoying the water like everyone else on a hot day.

It’s easy to forget that behind the robes are ordinary people. Seeing this simple moment made me smile more than any attraction I visited that day.

Travel has a funny way of reminding you that we’re all a lot more alike than we think.

Monteverde Cloud Forest, Costa Rica 🌿💧

You know what’s the best thing about hiking in a cloud forest?

It’s the sight and sound of a waterfall hidden among the trees.

Long before I could see it, I could hear it. The steady rush of water mixed with birdsong and the gentle rustling of leaves in the misty forest. When I finally reached the waterfall, I didn’t rush to take photos. I just stood there for a while and listened.

In a world that’s constantly making noise, there’s something special about letting nature be the loudest thing around you.
