✨ Feast of Saint Teresa of Ávila – October 15 ✨

Known as Saint Teresa of Jesus, she was a woman of extraordinary courage, wisdom, and faith. From her early desire to become a saint, through years of illness, struggle, and deep prayer, Saint Teresa allowed God to transform her heart and life completely. 💫
A reformer of the Carmelite Order, a writer, and one of the great mystics of the Church, she reminds us that holiness is not reached in a single moment, but through constant conversion — by seeking God within the silence of our own soul. 🙏
Her legacy of prayer, humility, and perseverance continues to inspire millions around the world.

💬 “Let nothing disturb you, let nothing frighten you. All things pass; God never changes.” – St. Teresa of Ávila

🕊️ Saint Teresa of Ávila, pray for us!

🌿 Faith, Purpose, and Power — October 14, 2025 🌿

In this episode, we celebrate the feast of St. Teresa of Avila (October 15) and explore her lessons on prayer, perseverance, and living a faith-filled life.

We also reflect on the Worldwide Rosary Rally (October 11), a powerful tradition where people gather publicly to pray the Rosary for the world, their communities, and personal intentions.

Sister Gemma from the Legion of Mary at St. Mary Parish in Chilliwack, BC, joins us to share her faith journey, her work with the Legion, and practical ways to make the Rosary a part of daily life — at home, in schools, at work, or even during a walk or run.

Scripture Reflection:

• John 19:26: “When Jesus saw His mother, He said, ‘Woman, here is your son.’”

• Luke 1:46: “My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior.”

St. Teresa of Avila reminds us: “Prayer is nothing else than being on terms of friendship with God.”

CRUCIFIXION AND DEATH
In addition to the physical pain, on the cross, Jesus experienced a profound psychological anguish, caused by the abandonment of his friends and the mockery of his enemies. However, what caused him the greatest suffering was the sense of desolation of being abandoned by God.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

As we gather this Thanksgiving, let us pause to recognize God’s abundant blessings in our lives. We are grateful not only for the food on our tables but for the gift of family, friends, and community. In moments of joy and in times of trial, God’s love remains steadfast, guiding and sustaining us. Let us remember those less fortunate and extend our hearts and hands in charity, sharing the gifts we have received. May this day be an opportunity to deepen our gratitude, offering prayers of thanks for God’s providence. May the Lord bless your homes with peace, joy, and love, today and always.

With prayers and blessings,

Fr. Michael Corpus
