If you’re confused about how to eat after 40, you’re definitely not alone.
Nutrition advice has become incredibly noisy.

Fast longer. Don’t fast.
Eat carbs. Cut carbs.
Snack. Never snack.
Eat less. Eat more protein.

For my latest episode of Unstoppable at Any Age, I sat down with Dr. Joey Shulman, who has spent decades working in nutrition and weight loss.
And instead of giving us another complicated set of rules, Joey brought us back to the basics.

Blood sugar balance. Gut health. Protein. Hydration. Movement. Nervous system regulation. Consistency.

Your body absolutely changes after 40.
But that doesn’t mean your metabolism is broken or that you need to survive on less and exercise more.
It means we need to learn how to support the body we have now.

A few years ago I started paying attention to a pattern in the research that changed how I think about aging.

Movement, real, consistent movement, outperforms almost everything else we reach for. Not supplements. Not procedures. Not the newest medication. Movement.

One of the clearest predictors of whether a woman stays independent into her 70s and 80s isn't her weight or her diet. It's her muscle mass, especially in her thighs. It's her VO2 max. It's whether she kept moving through her 40s and 50s, when it's easiest to quietly stop.

That's the whole reason exists. It's free, it's not a funnel to anything, and it's full of women who are done treating movement like an afterthought.

If you want to be around women who are lifting, running, walking, and lifting each other up while they do it, this is it.

Comment MOVE and I'll send you the link. 💛

How much would change if you stopped treating your body like something you needed to conquer?

Especially in midlife, when your body may not look, feel, or respond the way it did at 30.

You can support your health without hating your body into changing.
You can want to feel stronger without making your appearance the measure of your success.
Your body isn't the opponent.
You're on the same team. 💜

Yo-yoing with your weight, your effort, your exercise — abrupt and unsustainable changes cost you more than a slow, clear plan ever will.
Clarity gives you the patience to actually stick with something long enough to see results. That's what most women are missing — not more discipline, more direction.

I've had women tell me their executive health check felt thorough — until we actually sat down and went through what it covered.

Blood work. A doctor's consult. A fitness test. All useful. None of it explains why your body's stopped responding the way it used to.

Next Level Health goes further — personal genetics, continuous glucose monitoring, VO2 max testing, a DEXA scan, all integrated into one plan built around you. Not five separate reports you're left to interpret alone.

Hours spent researching your own bloodwork. A glucose meter with no one to interpret it. Supplements bought on a hunch that never pan out.

Add it up — the time, the money on things that didn't work — and “doing it yourself” is rarely the cheaper option. It's just a cost hidden somewhere you're not counting it.

Next Level Health is the efficient version.

What if movement wasn’t about changing your body at all?
What if it was about enjoying living in it?

My latest Unstoppable at Any Age guest, Marci Warhaft, has been dancing for most of her life. Today, at 56, she teaches Dance Jam classes where people of different ages and abilities come together to move, laugh, and let go of worrying about doing it “right.”

Her philosophy: “You can’t dance wrong.”

Marci and I also had a very honest conversation about body image, eating disorders, midlife body changes, and the pressure women feel to keep chasing smaller versions of themselves.

One thing she said really stayed with me:
“We fight our bodies all the time. We forget that we’re on the same team.”

Our bodies change as we get older.
That doesn’t make them less worthy of being cared for, moved, enjoyed, or appreciated.

Movement doesn’t have to mean a gym, a race, or another thing you have to force yourself to do.
Put on your favourite song. Move however you want.

And as Marci says, When in doubt...Dance it out. 💃

It's the single most common thing I hear in practice. The diet that worked before doesn't work now. The workout that used to move the needle doesn't anymore.

You're not broken. You're not doing it wrong. Your body's data has changed, and the plan has to change with it.

That's exactly what Next Level Health is built to find.

I use AI too. It's useful for a piece of the puzzle. It is not useful for building you an integrated plan.

Throw your bloodwork in and you'll get generic advice. Ask it to interpret a glucose monitor and it has no real experience with non-diabetics wearing one. It doesn't know your genetics. It can't tell you which three things actually matter for your body specifically — it just tells you everything, which is the opposite of clarity.

That's the whole reason Next Level Health exists. If you missed Mondays Masterclass - the replay is available until Friday.
