Learning from Dr. Amandine Pras is such a pleasure and this time she brought along artist Kayla Milmine for their joint talk called "Music Production and The Female Ear: Inspiring A New Generation". The talk focused on how music creators can remap the sound criteria that they apply to assess the music they make and listen to, and was followed by an improvised performance involving the whole audience.

One of the best things about the Women in the Studio program is our amazing mentors who take time out of their busy lives to share their knowledge and expertise with our producers. From publishing to beatmaking to branding to explaining legal contracts and everything in between, we love learning from our mentors.

Our first mentor highlight is Cheryl Link, General Manager at peermusic. Cheryl has been involved in steering the program since its inception and we couldn't do it without her. This year, Cheryl participated in the "Publishing 101" session.
