On Saturday morning, the city's streets were littered with fallen branches, and many trees were uprooted and overturned. The city's government asked residents to stay at home so crews could clear downed power lines and other debris. At a news conference on Saturday, St. John's Mayor Danny Breen said, "Hurricane Larry caused a significant amount of tree and property damage throughout our city."
