🗓 Festival dates
The Harbin Ice & Snow Festival typically runs for about two months each year
❄️ The park usually opens between late December
✨ Ice sculptures and light displays run through late February

❄️ Temperatures (very important)
Harbin is one of the coldest cities in China
🌡️ Average temperatures during the festival are around −25°C
🥶 With wind chill, it can feel closer to −40°C

🧤 What to wear
🥾 Waterproof winter boots with thick insulation
🧥 Heavy down jacket rated for extreme cold
🧣 Thermal base layers, insulated pants, scarf or balaclava
🔥 Hand and foot warmers are essential

🎟️ Tickets explained

🎫 General entry tickets
• Can be purchased at the entrance
• Cost around ¥300–350 CNY which is roughly $45–50 USD
• Includes access to the world’s longest ice slide and the Ferris wheel
• Wait times can reach up to 2 hours for each attraction

💎 VIP tickets (highly recommended)
• Cost around ¥988 CNY which is roughly $140–145 USD
• Includes fast track access to the ice slide and Ferris wheel
• Saves hours of waiting, especially in peak season
• ⚠️ Can only be purchased in advance via WeChat or Alipay
• Not available at the door

YOU GUYS!!! Is this the most beautiful library in the world?!
This is the Tianjin Binhai Library in Tianjin, China 🇨🇳 and it honestly looks like something out of a movie. It opened in 2017 and is famous for these insane, wave like bookshelves that wrap around the entire space, all centered around a giant glowing sphere called “The Eye.”

It was designed by Dutch architecture firm MVRDV and it feels less like a quiet library and more like walking inside a piece of art.
