This week’s pick: Florian Hoefner - “Last More Time” from his Juno award winning album, Desert Bloom.

The title comes from a phrase Florian’s son Max used when he was just learning to speak. Whenever he enjoyed something and wanted to do it again, he would ask for “last more time” - while somehow making it feel like it would be the final request. Of course, there was always another “last more time.”

Inspired by that idea, the piece features a circular harmonic progression with no clear beginning or end, inviting listeners to stay in the moment and keep playing - always ready for “last more time”…
