bitter&broke bitter&broke is a Toronto based DJ/producer duo cultivating smooth soulful DJ sets that focus on classics of house, funk, hip-hop and r&b.

Having over a decade of performance experience, initially trained as classical and jazz musicians, Aaron Diaz and Yoshinori Aoyama began their debut in the local Toronto music scene in a hip-hop/R&B band called Illharmonic. As their roots in the local music industry spread, the two decided to branch out and venture into the art of DJing. The duo spin in unison while highlighting their unique style

s and techniques. Their inspirations such as J Dilla, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Skratch Bastid, and Kaytranada has influenced their passion and knowledge for music which is evidently shown in their sets and live performances.

It’s been a pleasure rocking with y’all all these years. We want to thank you all for the support. We’re going all out to give you an experience you won’t forget.

Special performances by and of course our brother !

If any of you REALLLLLLY know us, you know we’re extra AF so of course we had to put together a handful of SURPRISE guests AND we’re going to host our own OPEN JAM at our show.

Having met a lot of you while jamming out in these streets, we have to run it back ONE MORE TIME!

We can’t close this chapter without having our LAST SHOW as a trio! 😭😢😔

In true Bitter&Broke fashion, we’ll be joined on the stage with our suuuuuper talented friends and family. Old and new friends……AND for the very first time ever, we’ll be opening up the floor to host a JAM SESSION! We’ve met SOOOO many artists and friends from playing and hosting in jam sessions so of course we had to run it back one time! 😎

As you may know, Yoshi is a Japanese 🇯🇵

And with a heavy heart, we’re sad to sad that in exactly ONE month from now, he’ll be moving to Japan FOREVER ❤️‍🩹😭😢

We love our brother and cherish all the amazing memories we made with him! There will never be someone to replace Yoshi. He’s one of a kind and there will always be a special place in our hearts for all the things that we were able to achieve as a trio. We’ve had our ups and downs as friends and business partners but alas, it’s time to close out this chapter.

We wish him luck in the future……but don’t worry….we have A LOT for the remaining time we have together. This isn’t the last you’ve seen from us 😎

Life has its constant ups and downs, but there’s one thing that’s certain…..”I’ll Be Okay” 😌

It’s a saying that we say frequently when things get tougher. It’s a phrase that got us through tough times and it’s the phrase that united us the first time as a band years ago.

It’s soooo WILD to think that we just started out as a band playing cover music for weddings and other corporate gigs to having a set full of originals!!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

So if there’s anything we KNOW for certain, it’s that we’ll be OKAY👌🏽

Thank-you all for rocking with us through this journey and we hope to see you all soon 💖
