In 2024 the Northern California metal band Amarok released "Resilience," their monumental second album of epic doom and black metal. Later this month Hypaethral Records will release a double-CD companion to that album called "Overcome," which includes remixed and re-imagined versions of the "Resilience" songs by ten notable artists. We're premiering one of those today, a stunning re-working of the song "Legacy" by Andrew Black (a live member of Mizmor and HELL). Don't miss this -- find it via the comment link below.

It has been quite the week over here! Today we are extremely excited to reveal the next track from Amarok’s forthcoming double-CD “Overcome”

No Clean Singing had the exclusive premiere of Andrew Black’s re-imagined version of the track “Legacy” from Amarok’s 2024 opus Resilience.

NCS commented “if you’re feeling at least a bit choked-up by the end of this we’ll be surprised”. Fitting commentary for a very ephemeral and evocative rendition.

Overcome releases digital and on double-CD on Sept 25th. You can pre-order on our website or bandcamp page (links in bio)

Amarok will be heading out on a west coast tour Sept 22 - Oct 8 to support Overcome.

If you’re in Toronto, be sure to catch Leila Abdul-Rauf on the Monarch Tavern on Oct 9th, hopefully we’ll get to hear her re-imagining of “Penance” in a live setting 🤞
