I don’t talk about this a lot

but there’s a kind of mothering
that happens twice

once when you become a mother
and again when you become the one
holding your mother

in rooms where time moves differently

Parkinson’s doesn’t announce endings
it just quietly takes…and takes.

every visit carries the same quiet question
is this the last time she’ll know me
is this the last time I’ll see her

still, I bring flowers
like hope is something I can place by her bed

because even here
love insists on showing up

even when it doesn’t know
what comes next.

So apparently my cat has officially entered her influencer era.

Also, the tag deserves its own fan club at this point-cute, sturdy, and making that perfect little jingle every time she moves (as if to say “I have arrived, and have no time for small talk, Peasant”). It’s not just an ID tag, it’s a mood.

At this point I’m not a pet owner-I’m a very proud assistant to a furry CEO who runs a tight schedule of naps, double-blinks, and spontaneous zoomies through the hallway.

And honestly? I adore her for it. ❤️
