⚠️🔊🎧 WARNING: LOUD NOISE ON SLIDE 14
This week, in addition to announcing new staffing levels for the department, Maple Ridge Fire Rescue unveiled their new “Squad 1” (SQ1), British Columbia’s first all-electric light-duty primary response vehicle, which also features the department’s new branding and decal package.
Squad 1 is a 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning PRO with ARE canopy and storage solution in the truck bed.
It is equipped with a console and tablet dock and a full light and siren package featuring:
• CenCom CORE
• Vehicle-to-Vehicle Synchronization (V2V)
• WeCanX Legacy Lightbar
• WeCanX 2250 Lightbar
• WeCanX Tracers (coming soon)
• T-Series & Mini T-Series lightheads
• LINZV2 under-mirror lights
With CANport integration, the vehicle also has automatic features built in, allowing first responders to focus on the road and the scene. This includes modes when the vehicle is parked in daytime and nighttime which utilize Dynamic Variable Intensity (DVI) flash patterns to help calm the scene. It also includes Brake, Turn Signal, and Reverse overrides to increase visibility.
It was an honour for us at to build this new and exciting vehicle to better serve the community.
