Are politicians really listening to everyday citizens, or do lobbyists and corporate interests have the loudest voice in government? The debate over transparency, influence, and accountability continues as Canadians question who truly shapes public policy. What do you think—should citizens have more direct influence over political decisions?

🇨🇦 Conflict of Interest or Business as Usual?

Should a Prime Minister be involved in decisions, negotiations, or policies when a company they were previously connected to could potentially benefit from those same deals?

With ongoing discussions surrounding Mark Carney and Brookfield, many Canadians are asking important questions about transparency, ethics, accountability, and public trust in government.

👇 What do you think?

Should leaders recuse themselves from decisions where even the appearance of a conflict exists, or is prior business experience an asset in government?

Why is Tim Hortons still appearing in Job Bank listings connected to the Temporary Foreign Worker (TFW) program while so many Canadians are struggling to find work?

With unemployment remaining a concern in many communities, shouldn’t Canadian citizens and permanent residents be given every opportunity first before employers look overseas for workers?

I’m not against immigration or people coming to Canada legally. My question is simple: if qualified Canadians are available and looking for work, why are there still LMIA-related job postings from major employers on Job Bank?

What do you think? Should the government strengthen enforcement to ensure local workers are genuinely considered first? Or do businesses still face labour shortages that justify these programs?

Let’s have a respectful discussion.

This issue is dividing Canadians across the country.

Some say rejected asylum claimants should be deported and lose access to publicly funded benefits.
Others argue healthcare is a basic human right regardless of immigration status.
