Yawékon Chef’s Apprentice Ascension Harjo goes on a foraging trek with Chef Tawnya and is mentored by Cam Hill in the garden. Samantha Miller learns beekeeping as part of her apprenticeship at Mohawk Seedkeepers Gardens with Terrylynn Brant.

“Helping out” seems to be the theme of the episode for how Ascension and Samantha learn about traditional Haudenosaunee foodways. Sometimes the best way to learn something new is to roll up your sleeves and help out with the chores.
