We need to talk more about emotional validation in childhood.
Itโs easy to overlook, but when a child learns that their primary role is to manage the feelings of the adults around them, they lose the ability to value their own. They learn to shrink.
This dynamic creates adults who struggle deeply to feel seen, loved, or important years later.
Breaking the cycle starts with a simple act: letting children know their feelings are valid, even when they are inconvenient.
