The Spotted Lanternfly is an invasive insect with the potential to harm agriculture and forestry in Ontario. If you see a suspected Spotted Lanternfly in Ontario, take photos, catch it in a sealed container, and report it immediately to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. https://inspection.canada.ca/en/plant-health/invasive-pests-and-plants/insects/spotted-lanternfly

Although it's not currently established in Canada, there have been numerous sightings and interceptions from imported cargo into Canada.
