The reason behind Haitian Flag Day. It’s no doubt that the history is complex but the significance of Haitian history is one that can’t deny and is one that we continue to fight to preserve everyday while looking ahead to making a better future for Haiti ❤️.

I was recently asked to rank my my favourite food and honestly, that very hard for me to do. I’ve spent most time in Jamaica and Belize with a couple visits to Haiti and there are various things I love about each place and cuisine.

Naturally, since I grew up in a Haitian household, I had it on the daily from my mom but since moving to Toronto there aren’t many restaurant options (unless you’re getting it from an auntie’s).

Haitian food is super underrated so one of my goal in the near future is to visit Montreal and do an epic food tour, exploring the best Haitian eats and sharing them with you ❤️

, think we can make this happen one day? 👀

Recent food bites in the city that made my toes curl 🥰

I had Haitian butter cake at one of his Racine Supper Club events and 🤤. I needed another plate

has the best cornbread in the city 😍. A wah dem put inna it man 👀👀

On my first visit to , I went for the oxtail momoas but they sold out 😩. I was gonna leave with sumn though so I opted for the fried chicken and rice and peas meal. One of best restaurant rice and peas I’ve had in a while. I’m still gonna circle back again for my momoas so have them stocked plz

My first time having was over 6 years at a food festival and their fried tandoori taco was ELITE. So when they finally opened up a spot in Scarborough, I had to visit, a this time I got the fried tandoori mac and cheese. My type of comfort food 🥰
