Our team is on a tear, releasing two feature documentaries (This Film is Garbage! and Sweat!) and a series of 14 animated short films (Garbology) with our broadcast partners at TVO and CBC in the past year. Many thanks to everyone who is helping us create media that is not only thought-provoking but also highly entertaining. Big thanks to our families and friends, and especially the TEAM at Take Action Films, for making this year outstanding.

Speaking of thought-provoking and highly entertaining documentaries…

Can saunas actually improve your health? Is it science or just hot air?

The answer lies in the The Nature of Things documentary Sweat!, premiering TONIGHT at 9:00 PM EST!

In this special episode created by the Take Action Films team, Anthony Morgan sweats it out in the name of science to investigate some of the health claims about saunas.

You can watch Sweat! on CBC Gem, CBC Television and on The Nature of Things YouTube channel.

Today, March 1, is Remembrance Day in the Marshall Islands.

It is a day dedicated to honouring the victims and survivors of the nuclear tests that occurred there during the 1950s.

Today, we ask you to join us in supporting the Marshallese people on their official day of remembrance.

What can you do to be an ally to the cause? One way is to write to your congressperson in support of renewing agreements with Pacific allies. Another way is to reduce your carbon footprint. Climate change and rising sea levels threatens the very existence of the islands.

During an awards season where Oppenheimer has resurrected discussions around nuclear weapons testing, it’s important to look at the other side of the equation and see and hear the human effects of nuclear testing.

This is exactly what our feature documentary NUKED was made for - so that people can hear the perspectives of the indigenous people of Bikini Atoll affected by the nuclear bomb tests conducted by the US government, specifically following the aftermath of Project Crossroads and the multi-generational existential trauma.

NUKED is currently on the North American leg of the International Uranium Film Festival tour.

Thank you for the Award of Excellence for Nuked! 🏆
