Course: Politics, Law & the Courts in Canada
I am amazed by the grace of God over my life, its a little insane, cause I did nt go to class for 2 weeks trying to sort out some personal circumstances.
The Monday I realized I had an exam & I did nt know what I need to study cause I was nt there when the info got out.
As I came in I asked a student 10 minutes before the exams & she said its chapter 5-11 & two cases & she gave me the cases :
Plessy v. Ferguson.
In 1892, Homer Plessy, who was of mixed race (7/8 white), intentionally sat in a whites-only train car to challenge Louisiana's segregation laws.
Brown v. Board of Education (1954).
While Plessy v. Ferguson upheld the "separate but equal" doctrine, Brown v. Board of Education declared that state laws establishing racial segregation in public schools are unconstitutional. This decision marked a significant turning point in the fight against racial segregation in the United States.
I just read it through & a week after that as I asked about my marks the Professor said :
“ Jehova I think I gave you an A if not an A+ cause you did so well” and I am like “His grace is sufficient” 🤸🤸🤸
