The story begins at the time when the songs of the film Thattathin Marayathu released. We were supremely impressed and amazed at the beauty of every song from the movie. When the trailer came out, we were already hardcore fans of the movie and wanted to watch it right away. Once the movie came out, we heard astonishing reviews from our friends back home in Kerala. Right after that we were at Sam
Lawrence Park – our usual hang out place every evening here in Hamilton enjoying hamilton’s beauty at nightfall as always. That day Kannan Satheesh had an idea of bringing this masterpiece of a movie to Canada and releasing it under our own banner. This idea was highly applauded by us all and turned out to be a life changing one. From there everything started off as a dream and we are still living that dream. We contacted our friends in United States – a team of young entrepreneurs called the Cinema Factory namely Liju Jacob Mathew, Navin Thomas and Nirun Raju who released the movie in the states and discussed our plans with them. They were highly appreciative and inspirational and helped us with getting the copyrights for Canada. The next talk was about the name of the company. We decided to get a name from the songs of Thattathin Mariyathu. Another day at Sam Lawrence park we came up with the name for our company inspired by a line from the song Anuraagathin Velayil which goes by :
“Anuraagathin velayil, varamai vannoru sandhyayil
Manamee nee paadu, premardram…
Anuraagathin velayil, varamai vannoru sandhyayil
Manamee nee paadu, premardram…
Ulayunnunden nenjakam, avalee mannin vismayam
Ini ente mathram, ente mathram…”
Thus we decided upon the name ‘Vismaya Entertainment’. From then on there was no looking back, we registered the company here and started discussing our strategies and how to implement them with some of our good friends. All our friends were very supportive and appreciated our idea. Our good friend Savio Antony provided a lot of moral support and gave us the confidence to go ahead helping us with ideas for the initial stages and get going from there. We initially planned to release in the GTA and then later all over Canada. We decided to market and promote our company and the film in the best possible ways we can and are still in the process of perfecting our plan. Sincere Thanks:
