Ok I admit it~ as a motivational speaker with an extensive background in fitness: I can't help but mention the importance of individual accountability for your energy and engagement at work!!!

I help organizations motivate their teams to work better together.

You can call it team building, performance training or leadership skills development: they all point to the same place which is what I call "professional development with a personal touch".

In this slide I ask " what do you value most about being fit"? The part you didn't hear in this speech was when I comforted everyone in the room by explaining that fitness is whatever that means to you!

It doesn't have to mean you have to have 6 pack abs or be able to perform 10 perfect bodyweight pull-ups in order to enjoy a good quality life and perform efficiently at work with a stable mood and steady energy.

I encourage my audience members to begin to think about what fitness means to them, especially if they haven't thought about it in awhile.

We all need a nudge sometimes, a reminder that our exercise is our own responsibility and will only enhance our lives both at home and at work.

Do you want to motivate your team with a gentle yet powerful nudge in a direction towards self~empowerment and personal accountability for the purpose of working better together?

I'm right here when you're ready.

Just imagine moderating a panel with these 2 powerhouses AND on the power & performance stage 🤯

Needless to say, this was an impactful conversation for the ages, literally.

➡️Title :
“Coaching the Coach: Elevating Leadership in Fitness”

💡Great coaching goes beyond instruction—it’s about impact.

🦋As I like to say lately ~ fitness is the foundation of quite literally everything in a well played life!

This panel discussion was so on point at a time when fitness is finally being recognized as preventative medicine and prescriptive measure for a fulfilling career thanks to doctors like and Kaitlin Link who are demonstrating incredible leadership in the medical space.

Personal trainers play such an important role in society as a whole, helping individuals get stronger and wiser about their own health through education, motivation and positive influence ➡️strong/positive/ healthy individuals create strong/ positive/healthier communities. 💪🏼

Both and are shining examples of the power of careful coaching that changes lives and influences others. What an honor to share the stage with these 2 Champions 🥇

Congratulations to on another massively successful conference. I'm still soaring 🚀

Before boxing or professional speaking: there was bodybuilding 💪🏼
25 years ago I had my first taste of competion first feel of any sort of stage.

I was not even in it to win it ~ I simply wanted to experience the process of training and preparing for competion. It was the catalyst for a decades long career that I was able to carve out based on inspiring others to also dig deep, dare to dream and enjoy the process.

I have already attempted a few times at this post ~ here goes:
My father taught me everything I know about being a fighter AND an entrepreneur.
Sadly, he passed away just 2 very sad weeks ago and I am still reeling in the feelings of this very profound loss for my family.

As much as I am allowing myself to sit and reminisce: reflecting on a man who gave so much of himself, I also know he would want me to start moving again and continuing in my momentum.

My dad was the the hardest worker I ever knew, and if you knew him, undoubtedly you would say the same thing. He took SO MUCH pride in a job well done and was extremely thorough within the process. For many years, pops had a side gig at the local fruit market delivering grapes during wine-making season, where he also got me my first job at 14 years old as a cashier. I worked there for 4 years having the great privilege of working close to my father during these seasonal stints, and I observed for myself his incredible dedication to whatever he was doing or delivering.

This extra commitment oh his was in addition to a full time demanding job as a supervisor at the Ontario Food Terminal, where he worked for 18 years until fate had it: he would go on long term disability.
For the next 25 years, even though he was unemployable, my dad persevered past his mobility and health issues, still working and providing for his family every which way he could. His contribution to the household over a lifetime leaves the most powerful imprint on the Raposo legacy because of who he was and not just what he did.

He did things with pride because he was a person of integrity.

He always delivered on time because he was reliable. It’s who he was.

He taught me everything I needed to know about being a fighter AND and entrepreneur, simply by being who he was.
I knew my dad inspired me every day, but until he was gone, I didn’t realize that my whole career was influenced and shaped by his personal experiences. I have been helping people with their health and fitness and mobility for the last 27 years because of my pops.
See you at the conference in Toronto, August 15/16.
This one is for you Poppa Raposo 👊🏼🕊️

Being there live to witness the first ever all female fight card at the Mecca of Boxing Madison Square Garden AND IT SOLD OUT meant finally feeling the vibe of what never even seemed imaginable 25 years ago when I was competing in boxing.

I know it’s been talked about by other promoters with good intentions, to put on a professional night of boxing with an all female card. I’m pretty sure it’s even been done already: but certainly not at this level with this kind of investment in the production and this type of focus ON THE FIGHTERS!!!

MVP promotions is clearly showing those of us paying close attention that they are:
1) good at business
2) investing in women’s sports.

From start to finish and for many many months, the promotion of this event was all about the women, their stories and their skills.

Fans got to see different kinds of quality matchups in a variety of weight classes from fighters with differnet backgrounds from all across the World ( Australia, Brazil, Spain, Mexico, UK, USA, Canada, Puerto Rico and Ireland in the house) !!!

And then there was the trilogy.
2 legendary fighters and trailblazers in our sport to make 1 history making and record breaking trilogy that is going down in the books as THE TIME when pay grade was officially increased to new levels.

This is not a moment.
This is momentum.

( PS it’s good business to invest in women’s sports 😉)

Taking in this experience with my 2 boxing buddies Lyla Simon Helene Jafine was the cherry on top. Our only regret was that we didn’t bring a Canadian flag 🇨🇦 but we did get to scream our heads off for our hometown fighters Jessica Camara and Tamm Thibeault who both performed excellent and made 🇨🇦 very proud 👊🏼

Extra bonuses:
👊🏼 Lyla got to meet legendary female referee Sparkle Lee
👊🏼 Helene got to meet legendary pioneer in women’s boxing Heather “The Heat” Hardy to gift her with aGirls Just Wanna Box kit
👊🏼 we all got to meet and hangout with Malissa Smith author of “The Promise of Women’s Boxing “

10 years ago I stepped into the boxing ring wearing sequence instead of my usual fight gear.

25 years ago as a competitive boxer, I never would have imagined where the sport would be right now with women commentating, analyzing, matchmaking, officiating, promoting, coaching and yes even ring announcing on some of the biggest stages in the boxing world!!

On July 11, we are about to witness THE biggest all female fight card in the history of live on from NYC at MSG providing the most massive platform and payday we have ever seen in

Don’t miss the momentum ~ these are exciting times for

Our Story

Life is like a Boxing match; it could be beautiful and tragic, graceful and brutal, poetic and a jumbled mess of chaos all at the same time.

Not everyone needs to step into the ring to appreciate the beauty of boxing but anybody can reap the physical and psychological benefits through its' training. Let’s discuss sport and its’ positive impact on society, because when we build the person we build the team who contributes to community!
