🔥 “I want to get something clear: I am not an artist, I’m a worship leader.” – Ron Kenoly

Ron Kenoly has passed from this life, leaving behind a witness shaped within the local church and offered to the global Body of Christ. Raised into ministry at Jubilee Christian Center in San Jose during a formative period of modern congregational worship, he was used by God to call the Church away from performance and back toward reverence, Scripture, and submission to Christ. His insistence that Jesus alone is exalted was not a slogan but a settled conviction forged under pastoral authority and lived out in service rather than self display.

Worship, as he taught, begins with relationship before expression and obedience before sound. Skill and preparation mattered to him because worship belongs to God and therefore deserves care, yet he never allowed excellence to replace humility or presence to replace submission. He understood that authority in worship flows from alignment with heaven and that the worship leader’s task is to lift Christ until self fades from view.

A life spent directing attention toward God leaves a testimony that outlives the voice that carried it. Worship offered in truth does not end with the singer. It returns to the One who alone is worthy.

Let the Church remember. 🔥
Let Christ remain exalted. 🔥
